If you're new to Zegal 1.0 and want a quick overview of what it's all about, this Getting started tutorial is for you. We introduce the core concepts of Zegal 1.0 and then get you on your way to set up your legal back office.
Zegal 1.0 is your legal solution for every business challenge. Choose from hundreds of predefined Workflow and Document Templates, or create workflows to suit your organisation’s needs.
The starting point: workflows and documents.
Zegal 1.0 contains a library of (a) legal workflows and (b) legal documents for you to pick from.
Workflows are legal processes we have broken down into steps and templated. Currently, those steps are:
- creating and signing a document;
- casting a vote to make a decision; and
- uploading a document for storage and/or signing.
For example, the Investment Workflow is a workflow that contains 7 steps. During this process, you can create documents (such as term sheets, investment agreements, or resolutions), cast votes (such as a board vote), and upload documents (such as amended articles).
|🚩 If you have early access to Zegal 1.0, the library of workflows will be limited to 3 fundraising workflows. We plan on adding more workflows later on.|
You can also create single documents using our document builder, for example a confidentiality agreement (NDA).
From workflows and documents to activities
Activities are at the core of Zegal 1.0. An activity is a workflow or a document that has been picked from a library and has been started. All your activities, whether a workflow or a single document, are stored in the cloud and are accessible anytime. In the Getting started section, you will find more articles on how to create workflows and documents.
